ROT was a short psychological horror game inspired by the Silent Hill series and officially based on a short film by Corridor Digital. It was one of my more technically demanding early projects and my first time working with Unity HDRP, which pushed me to better understand lighting, materials, and rendering workflows.

In this project I was responsible for both the technical and creative side of development. I worked on gameplay programming, player systems, interaction logic, and scene flow. At the same time, I shaped the level structure and narrative pacing, making sure exploration and story beats supported each other.

On the visual side, I worked as a 3D generalist. I created new assets and modified existing ones, cleaned up topology, optimized meshes for performance, and prepared proper UV layouts. Textures were painted and refined in Photoshop. Inside Unity, I built PBR and custom HDRP materials to achieve a moody, grounded look. Lighting played a major role in building psychological tension, and working with HDRP taught me a lot about physically based rendering and scene composition.

ROT helped me grow not only as a 3D artist but also as a developer and designer. It required balancing atmosphere, narrative ambiguity, technical stability, and performance within a short but focused horror experience.
